00:00:39 --> 00:00:42 your leadership journey, just like you have a renewed energy and commitment

00:01:10 --> 00:01:15 and expert interviews that are just hard to accomplish during our daily four to five minute talks.
00:01:15 --> 00:01:17 Our mission in partnership with
00:01:17 --> 00:01:21 Grundmeyer Leader Services is to transform education one leader at a time.
00:01:21 --> 00:01:24 And we're going to do so by providing you with the knowledge,
00:01:24 --> 00:01:28 inspiration, and support that you need to thrive in your role.
00:01:28 --> 00:01:33 Season two is going to go above and beyond to ensure success for our school leaders.
00:01:33 --> 00:01:37 So I'm excited to get season two rolling. Thank you for joining us on day one.
00:01:37 --> 00:01:41 So today, let's start with a quick tip to set the tone for this season.
00:01:41 --> 00:01:45 As school leaders, we often wear many hats and we face constant demands,
00:01:45 --> 00:01:48 so it is crucial to prioritize self-care.
00:01:49 --> 00:01:53 Today's tip is to start your day with intention. Before the chaos of the school
00:01:53 --> 00:01:55 day begins, take a few moments for yourself.
00:01:55 --> 00:02:01 Reflect on your priorities for the day. What are your top three goals? What brings you joy?
00:02:01 --> 00:02:05 This simple practice of taking some moments to reflect on where we're at can
00:02:05 --> 00:02:09 significantly impact our mood, and it also will impact our productivity.
00:02:09 --> 00:02:14 It allows us to approach the day with a sense of purpose and a sense of focus.
00:02:14 --> 00:02:20 So now let's embrace this new calendar year with enthusiasm and a commitment to continuous growth.
00:02:20 --> 00:02:23 Remember, you are not alone in this journey. We have a lot of colleagues in
00:02:23 --> 00:02:28 this work together as we are just trying to do what's best for kids and try to grow our districts.
00:02:28 --> 00:02:31 We are all here to support each other every step of the way.
00:02:32 --> 00:02:34 So instead of just rushing through your normal morning routine,
00:02:35 --> 00:02:37 try this. Find a quiet space.
00:02:37 --> 00:02:42 Five, ten minutes. That little bit of solitude, it can make a huge difference.
00:02:42 --> 00:02:46 Step outside. Sit in your car before you start the day, or simply just close
00:02:46 --> 00:02:50 your eyes and take a few deep breaths in your office or even at home.
00:02:51 --> 00:02:55 Another idea is to do some journaling. Briefly jot down your thoughts and your feelings.
00:02:55 --> 00:02:59 What are you looking forward to today? What challenges do you anticipate?
00:02:59 --> 00:03:03 What brings you joy? Don't forget about that part. Why do we do the job we do?
00:03:04 --> 00:03:05 We know it isn't for the money.
00:03:05 --> 00:03:08 We don't do it just because we want all of the hard work.
00:03:08 --> 00:03:11 We do it because we love the mission of the job.
00:03:12 --> 00:03:16 Visualize success. Imagine yourself successfully navigating the challenges of
00:03:16 --> 00:03:17 the day and achieving those goals.
00:03:17 --> 00:03:21 This simple act of visualization can boost your confidence and motivation.
00:03:22 --> 00:03:24 And then last, practice some gratitude.
00:03:24 --> 00:03:28 Take a moment to appreciate the good things in your life. This could be anything
00:03:28 --> 00:03:32 from a supportive colleague to your family to maybe just a beautiful sunrise today.
00:03:33 --> 00:03:36 Just incorporating a few simple practices into our morning routine,
00:03:36 --> 00:03:40 it can really help cultivate a sense of calm and a sense of focus that's going
00:03:40 --> 00:03:44 to serve us well throughout the day. Just remember to start your day with that intention.
00:03:44 --> 00:03:48 Thank you again for coming back for Season 2. Stay tuned for more inspiring
00:03:48 --> 00:03:53 messages, insightful interviews, and valuable resources throughout Season 2 of Your Morning Boost.
