Stay to the end of the show for more information on our services. Now Here is your Morning Boost. Hello, Happy Tuesday. Welcome to the last episode this week of Your Morning Boost. I hope you are looking forward to a little recharge time coming this week. I also hope you have a chance to think about what you are thankful for in these upcoming days. I know that through the years, there's been many a time where it's dawned on me that I have been so super busy that I just haven't taken the time to say thank you to all the people that come every day to serve our students and families. Now, part of the reason we put that off is it feels like this can be such a daunting task, and when we go large, big thank you recognition events, it can be pretty cumbersome. But we can always do little things that can help us say thank you and show how much we appreciate those people around us. Sometimes the simplest gesture can have the biggest impact. Take a moment just to write a handwritten note expressing your sincere appreciation for a specific action or a quality you admire and a staff member, that personalized note shows them that you have taken the time to think about them individually. Now their idea be to share some positive feedback, you know, shared about staff members on social media or during a school board meeting or any other opportunity where you have a chance to brag about the great work the people in you're building are doing. Public recognition has a very powerful way to boost confidence and let people know that their hard work is more than just valued. Another thing is you can think about a small token of appreciation, you know, a small gift such as a gift card to a coffee shop or a favorite store. It's a very thoughtful way to show your appreciation. But it doesn't always have to be about money. It can, you know, be just offering to help with a cause that they're involved in. If you got some time, do a little bit of volunteering. Not only does it help them with their cause, it also shows your community that you are more than just the building leader. It'll be likely it'll it'll also fill your own personal bucket. A little bit too. Another thing to think about is just to be very intentioned about offering some practical support. This could involve helping with a task, you know, covering a shift, or simply offering a listening ear meal, but you know, think about maybe covering the front office for a while. Well, your assistant can go and see what's going on in the classrooms and watch kids in action. Probably pretty rare that they get the opportunity to leave their desk most days, they can go see what's going on in that building that they're helping lead. Give them that opportunity to witness the work each day that they just don't typically have that opportunity to see. Same could be applied for your special education associates. They spend all day long, sometimes with the most troubling kids. Maybe you take a little chance in there for a little bit and get a chance to work with that kiddo when they're being successful, not only when they're brought to the office. Give that associated a chance to go see what's going on in the school as well. Last tip would be to think about some positive reinforcement that goes a long ways and motivating staff members. Take a little time to praise everybody's efforts, but also offer some constructive feedback and then just don't forget to celebrate those successes. People are in this business because they like to keep learning. Educators do. We all do, So give them a chance to learn a little bit. Give them some opportunity to get some feedback on the work that they're doing, not just because they happen to be in the valuation cycle. Just remember a little appreciation it can go a long way. Take some time express your gratitude. It'll help create a more positive and supportive school environment for everyone, including ourselves. We have to make it a priority, so give it a little chance. Say your thank yous this week. It's a great week for us to remind ourselves about how thankful we really are that we get to do the job that very few can actually do.
